VACANCY (2025)
Sometimes a life on the road leads to a sense of isolation and introspection. It’s not all glamour and posting the perfect postcard moment on various avenues of social media.
’Vacancy’, exhibited at Studio Lane cove as part of the Head On photography festival’s open program in 2025 captures that which is utile and usually taken for granted but also the absolute bare minimum of the sense of home when one is so far away from it.

They are so commonplace and part of the infrastructure that it would seem trivial to pay them any heed save from moments of hydration.
Yet, their abundance is a testament to a people who embrace living in multitudes on a small land mass and who also collectively maintain a strong status quo that none would think of defacing such conveniences.
